Subscription Box Saturday: Goodies in Photos (Nov 2012)

Standard

I recently received my second one of these:

This sweet (and savory) little box is just $7 per month shipped to my door.

This includes any shipping or taxes.

You can barely ship anything for that price, these days!

The November 2012 theme:

That’s “Entertaining Made Simple” if you can’t read it. I’ve been playing around with Camera + on my iPhone and wanted to try all photo options. You can still see Benny Bear sneaking his head into another photo if you look closely.

This month, sitting on top of my goodies was a reusable, canvas Goodies shopping tote. Just a nice little bonus!

And here are the contents:

Clockwise from upper left: Oogie’s White Cheddar PopcornFlourless Bliss Pumpkin Souffle Mix, The Lazy Baker Oatmeal Cranberry Cookie Mix, American Vintage Wine Biscuits, Bigelow Eggnogg’n Tea, Lotus Bakeries Smooth Biscoff Spread and Bobbysue’s Original Flavored Nuts.

Here’s another photo from Camera +:

It was an excellent package this month and one that prompted me to actually make a purchase on the site! Here are some highlights:

Bobbysue’s Original Flavored Nuts

I adore nuts and these are seasoned perfectly. The size was a perfect snack for my lunch. I took a picture of the back:

“A portion of every nut dollar goes towards building a shelter for homeless animals.” Gotta love that.

American Vintage Wine Biscuits

I expected these to be more like palate cleansers. But when I read that they are made with white wine, shallot and cayenne, I was intrigued. My package insert (or the box, I can’t remember) stated that they could be served by themselves or with cheese and/or wine. I can see why!

These are truly biscuits in the fact that they taste buttery. But the finish gives it that little kick of cayenne. Oh so flavorful! I can’t believe I’m describing a biscuit like I would a wine! I had my wine and cheese at the ready. And the biscuits did taste excellent with either and by themselves. These are going to make one great gift with a bottle of wine.

Lotus Bakeries Biscoff Spread

Oh dear, Biscoff, what have you done?! I absolutely adore the Biscoff cookies that we get on Delta flights that my husband often saves them for me if he flies alone. But in spread?! I fear an addiction!

The spread is not as healthy as peanut butter or other nut butters, so I decided to spread it on pieces of fruit as suggested on the box insert. You know, to be a little healthier… Result?

Apples + Biscoff Spread = a heavenly combination

A jar of Biscoff went straight into my online shopping cart.

Oogies White Cheddar Popcorn

This White Cheddar Popcorn is wonderful, but the only thing that makes it different from any similar product is that it’s more natural. There are very few ingredients and Oogie’s uses non-GMO corn. I don’t know if I’ve ever seen that before.

I have not had the other items yet. I didn’t grow up drinking Eggnog over the holidays, so it’s really not my cup of tea. And here they put it in a cup of tea. But I will give it a try. I was a little reluctant on the pumpkin-flavored tea in my Love with Food box and ended up loving it.

I was going to make the pumpkin soufflé one night for dessert when I realized I didn’t have an egg or the half and half required to make it. That just may be breakfast this weekend!

As for the oatmeal cranberry cookie mix, I’m not one for cookies without chocolate. Nor am I one for oatmeal cookies, um… unless they have chocolate. {Maybe I’ll try to add chocolate chips to the mix!} But I was a little jealous when I saw that some other boxes included a dark quinoa chocolate bar. 😦

How Goodies Works:

Now, a question for all of you that’s not Goodie related…

Which Camera + photo style above did you like best?

Cheers~
