I Tried the Bulu Box…

Standard

Subscription Box Saturday

Last month, I found a deal for a Bulu Box described on their website as such:

Bulu Box is the first health, nutrition and weight loss discovery box designed to help you feel your best. Each month, you’ll get a custom box filled with a new mix of 4 to 5 premium samples from top brands to try. Every sample is sufficient enough to decide if the product is right for you.

The deal site read:

Maintain your healthy lifestyle, or get yourself on track, with the top-brand products included in the monthly Bulu Box. If weight loss is your goal, choose their targeted Weight Loss Box for fitness gear and healthy lifestyle tips, as well as sample vitamins and supplements to help you reach your goal. Their monthly subscription service comes with no strings attached: your subscription automatically expires once your chosen number of months are over.

I choose the regular box because I’m not into weight-loss vitamins or gimmicks. I should have read both sites more carefully, because after my first box, I decided that it’s one that’s probably not for me:

039Contents in the October box included (from top left, clockwise):

  • Rootology Nasal Health Herbal Vitamin – I’d been feeling stuffy in the mornings lately, but perhaps due to the dry weather. I didn’t see any change after taking these.
  • Women’s Formula Pocket Protein (strawberry flavor) – I was curious about this one because it has 15 grams of protein and only 60 calories! I grabbed it on my way out the door in the morning this week. I did not like how it tasted at all. It reminded me of something I’ve had before, but I couldn’t put my finger on it. I’ll take a couple of hard boiled eggs over this any day.
  • Smarty Pants All-in-One Adult Gummy Vitamin – Of course, these tasted pretty good. Check out the nutrients in the photo below.
  • Axia3 ProDigestive Antacid – Luckily, I have not needed to use these!
  • Body Glove Surge Energy Gel – This would be perfect for a runner. I’m not running continuously right now because I’m being very careful when my back hurts; but that is when I would use it.

For the size of the box, it didn’t look like much, nor much I was excited about. But I think the dogs think that any box I open now is for them. And Shamrock is starting to photo bomb like Benny used to!

040The one thing that would benefit Bulu Box recipients is the card that is included to help decide what you think of a product. It’s one where you take notes on how you feel before and after trying a product:

041Just like many other subscription boxes, you can take surveys and leave feedback on the products to accrue points to purchase your favorites. I don’t understand how you can review products that you might not need to use yet {antacids, nasal health} or have the use for {energy gel}. I guess you could save the cards for when you do use them. But I’m not sure how long they keep the surveys open either.

Bulu Box is $10 per month and includes free shipping.

My deal was $15 for three months. If I was just trying out the first month, I would have canceled because this box is just not for me. However, we’ll see what the next two boxes bring. Maybe this is their way of showing you that you may still like what they have to offer.

Do you use any of these types of products?

If so, what are your favorites and why?

Cheers~
Carrie
