If know me well or have been reading this blog closely, you probably are well aware of my affinity for bourbon barrel-aged beers. Need proof? Read… here, here, here, here, here and here.
But a few month’s ago I found this wine on a shelf at MGM liquors.
It’s a limited release, so who knows if you can find it now; but it was very reasonably priced at something like $12.99/bottle. Can’t go wrong there!
But how did it taste? I honestly can’t tell you that I noticed any difference that a portion of the wine was aged in Bourbon barrels. But it did taste like a really good Cabernet aged in oak. And there is nothing wrong with that.
I did buy it a second time and if I see it on a whim, I will buy it again. Recommended.
Have you had a bourbon barrel aged wine before?
Cheers~
